Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of group therapy based on the hope-based approach on the quality of life of mothers with children with physical disabilities. Method: The present study is a pre-test, post-test, control group. The statistical population of this study was mothers of children with physical disabilities. A sample of 30 people was selected through a sampling method and assigned to two groups of experimental (15 subjects) and control (n = 15) and the group was tested for hope. The quality of life scale was performed in both groups by pre-test and post-test. Findings and Conclusion: The results of covariance analysis showed that the scores of the participants in the experimental group were significantly lower in the quality of life scores than the control group. Accordingly, therapeutic hope can improve the quality of life of mothers of disabled children and an effective step in improving their mental status and parent-child relationship.
