Adolescence is a period characterized by rapid biological, emotional, cognitive, and social changes and is an unstable developmental stage. Therefore, identifying the level of well-being and mental health of adolescents requires the design of accurate and valid tools, and one of the most accurate and valid tools in the adolescent population is the Psychological Vulnerability Scale. The aim of the present study was to validate the Psychological Vulnerability Scale among high school students in Zahedan city in 2025 in Iran. The research method was descriptive and confirmatory factor analysis type, and the statistical population of this study consisted of all high school students in Zahedan city, of which 200 students (100 girls and 100 boys) were selected through the Porsline platform using snowball sampling and completed the Psychological Vulnerability Scale. Inclusion criteria included adolescents aged 15 or older with secondary education. The age of the participants ranged from 15 to 18 years. Data collection was conducted between March 2025 and May 2025. The results showed that the Psychological Vulnerability Scale showed good internal consistency with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.76. The model represented an instrument with a single-factor structure that grouped all 6 items into a single dimension, consistent with the original model. The fit indices of the model were confirmed. The results showed that the Psychological Vulnerability Scale is a reliable tool that enables health professionals to assess the psychological vulnerability of individuals in various clinical and non-clinical settings such as schools throughout the life cycle.
