Abstract
The application of psychological constructs in education has been receiving attention for several decades, one of those constructs is the flow. The academic flow is used as a conceptual framework for examining activities and contexts, including student learning contexts, in classrooms. This research aimed to investigate the causal relationship between classroom goal structure and flow with the mediation of locus of control in students. In this descriptive-correlation study, the statistical population consisted of all the students of the first period of secondary school in the city of rasht, in which 430 of them were selected as a multistage cluster sampling. The tools available in this research were the classroom goal structure questionnaire (Midgley et al., 2000), the flow questionnaire (Martin and Jackson, 2008) and the locus of control questionnaire (Rutter, 1966). Evaluation of the proposed model was done using structural equation modeling. The Soble test was used to test relationships. Based on the results of this research, the proposed model of structural equations of causal relationships between the mentioned variables was acceptable. Most of the fit indices indicated a perfect fit of the model with the data. In general, in the proposed model of the study. According to the results of this research, under this title, it can be a very bright and promising perspective in the realization of educational goals, and it is suggested that educational professionals and lesson planners provide teachers with a suitable program to create a suitable class structure.
